Hi, when exploring your web site in attempts to hlep define my own deorating style I came across your Nursery Design: Girl Princess Theme entry. I noticed that the Caroling crib by Stanley is the very one I am planning on ordering except in the Cherry wood option. My question is how would you define this type of crib, what time era does it most resemble, and under what decor “theme” (if you were to put it in one) does it classify as?
Hi Vanessa,
Thank you for your comment and interest on this topic.
The Caroline crib’s design is influenced by Victorian era styling. This furniture style most definitely fits neatly in the Traditional decorating theme. You can, however, add this same crib into a feminine modern style decor - such as those inspired by Brocade Home. Brocade Home has recently debuted a children’s home design collection you might enjoy called petit boudoir.
