My initial excitement at seeing the email announcing Behr Paints 2014 color trends quickly dissipated once I got a look at the colors. They seem to have a drab grey beige undertone to them, and I’m just not loving it. I can’t imagine seeing any of these colors (specially the green New Shoot T14-18 – so reminiscent of 70s’ Avocado) on any large surface like the walls of your home – perhaps a few of these colors will translate well to smaller pieces like furniture or trim. I like Behr Paints, and have used them in both my DIY home projects and recommended them to clients in the past, but these colors just aren’t exciting me.
