I love all the projects Cheryl has worked on. They are all very creative and I am always checking the her blog to see what's new (or just on her mind) in the world of Cheryl Kees Clendenon!

I have to agree with Joseph's comment. After looking at the portfolio on Cheryl's website you realize she really does work for her clients! All of her work has it's own unique feel. Plus her blog is great! Very funny!

Well, I must say—and I DO say—that Cheryl is one of my favorite designers. I first discovered her a few months ago when I was looking at other blog sites and stumbled on her blog site. I was very impressed and ended up writing several blogs on her and her work. What I most like about her work is the freshness of her approach.

A fair number of the designers I have encountered over the years have certain “favorite concepts” they tend to keep returning to. The reason, I think, is because they are designing for themselves, as opposed to designing for their clients. As a result, their projects have both a distressing similarity about them and a certain coldness that comes from making sure that everything is kept perfect for the photographer.

When I look at Cheryl’s portfolio, I see some things that I really like and others that I don’t like at all. But what that tells me is that Cheryl designed these projects for her clients, and did it in such a way that her clients ended up with the project they would have designed for themselves, had they her talent. The other thing I particularly like about her work is the wide range of her ideas and her obvious passion, because the latter comes out in everything she does.
