Furniture & Décor Discoveries at the CR Laine Showroom
Spring was in full bloom at the colorful and vibrant CR Laine showroom. The lovely and exuberant Holly Blalock gave me a personal tour of CR Laine’s new furniture introductions for 2013. It was like walking through an absolutely fantastic garden teeming with Nature’s most beautiful and colorful creations.
CR Laine was one of just a few companies with their finger on the pulse of future-forward color trends. I noted luscious purples sprinkled throughout their showroom. As I’ve written before, purple is the reigning Queen of color at the European shows I’ve attended over the last year, and I was ecstatic to catch sights of this color at the spring 2013 High Point market.
Unabashed and bountiful patterns sprung up at each turn. Mixing and matching florals, geometrics, toile and a bevy of others to create unique and visually interesting roomscapes throughout the showroom.
The CR Laine vignettes were so well designed and decorated that each could easily inspire one to replicate them at home. The photos (above and below) highlight what I see as a strong color trend: blues and blue-greens, colors that speak to the renewal and hope we are all feeling as we emerge from the gloom and doom of the global recession.
Loving the pops of red in this vignette.
Mixing the old with the new. Joyful yellow, and lattice work pattern upholstery dress this modern high back sofa. Teamed with a one-of-a-kind ottoman bench covered in a vintage Turkish rug.
Romantic hues of purple create a serene and inviting living room setting. I adore the lilac leather armchair and the Asian inspired benches.
