Deco Lighting
Art Deco is one of my favorite design styles. I love the clean lines, the use of color to accentuate the shape and the overall architectural styling. So it came as no surprise to me when I absolutely fell in love with the new deco collection of lighting from Schonbeck. The beauty on the left is my favorite. Find your favorite at their site.
Before I wrap up this post I want to draw your attention to the color scheme of the deco lamp on the left. Notice the use of black and white? As I wrote earlier black and white are and will be a dominant color scheme through the fall of 2006 and winter 2007. Also note that the base of the lamp is made of crystal - a material that will be seen with great frequency in home fashions and accessories over the next six months to a year. And finally, I want to point out the obvious parallels between the deco lamp and the styles gracing the Spring 2006 fashion collections.
