I tend to have a love/hate relationship with Miami. I find myself, at times, truly missing Miami. I forget all the reasons why I was so happy to leave Miami, and I’m filled with a longing for all those things I loved and truly miss. The culture, the energy, the fashion, the people, the design (second to New York, Miami was the center of my Universe for all things interior style) and the restaurants. One restaurant that I truly adored for the food and design style was Senora Martinez – a Spanish restaurant owned by Chef Michelle Bernstein. It was conveniently located in Miami’s Design District – making it the go to place for lunches and dinners when I was working in the Design District. The Andalusian influenced food was absolutely amazing. The design of the restaurant was captivating and rich with layers of traditional Spanish style carefully interwoven with contemporary design elements that typify modern day Miami style. Sadly, Sra, Martinez closed its doors forever last December, but I will always remember the experiences had there thanks to its beautiful interior design and spectacular food.
