Miracle Product: Pet Mess Cleaner
Recently my senior cat had an “accident” on, of all places, my favorite antique sofa. I was very upset and thought that my sofa had seen its last days. For those of you who have cats, you can understand how terribly bad the scent of cat urine is and how long it will linger. For those of you who haven’t had that experience then count your blessings – it is an awful, awful stench that doesn’t come out with soap and water or even bleach.
The day I made peace with myself – knowing full well that my sofa was on its way to the curb for trash pickup – I had to make an emergency trip to our local pet store. There, by pure accident, I found a product called Fresh ‘n Clean Pet Order and Stain Remover. This product promised to completely eliminate the stinky mess and restore the damaged item to a new freshness. It was only $5.00 so I decided to give it a try. If it worked then my priceless antique sofa would be saved, if not then I was out $5.00.
As soon as I got back home I set about spraying the Fresh ‘n Clean product all over the “accident’ site until it was completely soaked through – all the way down into the upholstery stuffing. The product had a nice clean scent and I was hoping that it would work but I have to be honest I didn’t think it would do anything except mask the stinky smell.
I am delighted to report that it worked! I mean really worked, the stain is gone and the urine smell is gone. Not masked but gone. I can actually lie down on the sofa and I can’t even detect the slightest whiff of stinky urine. Not one, and let me tell you, I have a very sensitive sense of smell. I can detect just about any scent at the smallest concentrations – and there was nothing but the fragrance of clean and fresh. No masking of stinky, just wonderful freshness!
