Upholstery fabric trends for 2020 were on display at United Kingdom based Edinburgh Weavers this spring. They exhibited their vibrant, vivacious, contemporary and explosively colorful textiles and showed off new fabric trends at Proposte Fair – the annual luxury fabric and drapery trade show that takes place at Villa Erba on the magical grounds of Lake Como facing Villa Antica in Cernobbio, Italy.

As expected, their space was teeming with editors, designers, furniture makers and textile lovers from across the globe seeking to learn more about 2020 home textile and upholstery trends. No need for translators in that booth – as we were all speaking in the same language of “oohs” and “aahs”.

Introduced to this talent-filled textile mill at the 2018 Proposte Fair, I was eagerly awaiting to see what Edinburgh Weaver’s expressive designers had created for their 2020 home fabric collections. I was not disappointed at all! They debuted a collection of artist-inspired renderings of flowers and nature motifs that was feminine, bold, modern and captivating.
