21 Fabulous Lighting Discoveries at Salone del Mobile 2019
Hundreds of spectacular lighting displays illuminated the aisles at this year’s Salone del Mobile and EuroLuce design fair. Each exhibitor’s vignette set aglow by dozens and dozens of light fixtures – each as magnificent or even more so than the one before it.
My challenge, after snapping well over 2,000 photos, was to edit those down to the top 21 light fixtures and lighting decor that I felt symbolized the larger design movement at EuroLuce/Salone del Mobile during Milan Design Week.
Shape – was the one consistent criteria among the lights I was attracted to. Some were simple, yet exceedingly elegant, in their geometric shapes, others illustrated a clear direction inspired by the art world, and some echoed the sensual realm with voluptuous curves.
